My painting "Pirates of Black Water" was on display at the Heartland Artist Gallery in Plymouth Indiana during the above dates. Juried by Elizabeth James, my painting was1 of 100 pieces chosen for the display out of 200 entries. I was awarded 2nd place for my painting during the show.

My painting "Samson & Lion" will be on display at the Spencer Gallery during the above dates. I will be receiving a Merit Award for this painting. Opening Reception is Saturday, July 7th from 2:30pm-4:30pm. The gallery is located @ 209 Lincolnway East in Mishawaka, IN. Normal Business Hours are Monday thru Thursday from 9am-9pm; Friday & Saturday 9am-6pm.

Opening Reception was Sunday, April 22nd from 2pm-4pm. "Independence in the Studio"

(August 13, 2011- October 16, 2011)

My painting "Pirates of Black Water" will be on display during the dates listed above at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art located at 311 E. Main St, Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is a great honor since my painting will be one of only 24 paintings that were chosen out of 76 entries. Opening Reception for this show entitled "Independence in the Studio" is at 6:30 PM, Friday August 19th. Tickets are $10.  Phil S. Dixon one of the foremost experts in baseball history will give a lecture which coincides with the opening of Award Winning Artist Kadir S. Nelson whose paintings will be on display also. I will be presented with an award that evening for my painting.

The painting will be part of an exhibition whose content is limited to concerns for a socially just world.

Josh Hozey Solo Exhibition
(October 9th-Nov 20th 2009)

     I was the solo artist at the Inaugural Opening of the Inspirative Gallery in Plymouth, IN. Over 400 people attended this event. Four paintings that sold that evening are shown below. "Chicks in Space" resides in the private collection of Mike Pound CEO of Koontz Wagner Electric, "Teddy Bears Picnic" resides in the private collection of Sonya Cowles, "Rum Running on Tortuga" resides in the private collection of Joe Hozey, and "Can't Stop the Monkey" resides in the private collection of Byron Luke Felde Professor at Culver Academies.

NIA-South Bend Museum of Art Annual Juried Exhibit
(June - October 2009)

     My painting entitled "Mirror Man" was on display at the South Bend Museum of Art. Out of 88 entries only 41 pieces were chosen including the aforementioned painting.

20th Annual Heartland Artist Juried Regional Art Exhibit
(October 2008)
     I won the Best of Show Award at this Exhibit for my painting entitled "Musketeers, Milady, and Dead Chicken." Although 202 pieces were entered into the show only 122 were selected for the exhibit. The aforementioned painting along with my painting entitled "For the Love of Coffee" were both accepted into the exhibition. After 3 hours of scrutiny, Anthony Droege, retired Professor and Coordinator of Visual Arts from IUSB chose my "Musketeers, Milady, and Dead Chicken" painting to receive top honors. This piece also received a purchase award and now resides in the private collection of Attorney Tom Black from Plymouth, IN. Later, the next year "For the Love of Coffee" was purchased and resides in the private collection of Armand Genovesi.
